Frequently Asked Questions - Websites for Veterans

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What’s the catch?

A: No catch. We have a passion for helping veterans and entrepreneurs, and WebsitesForVeterans.org allows us to do both. Helping veterans start businesses is our way of making the world a better place.

Q: If you’re offering all of this for free, how do you make money?

A: The short answer is, we don’t. The longer, more accurate answer, is that our other businesses generate enough revenue to cover the cost of building a website and paying for hosting. DwizzyWid Media owns several profitable businesses, and those businesses enable WebsitesForVeterans.org to exist.

Q: Can I use my own domain with this?

A: Yes! After you finish creating your account you’ll be able to direct your domain to our servers and your site will work on your domain.

Q: Do you build websites for active military too? Or, just veterans?

A: We build websites for both active and retired military. It was just easier to say “veterans.”

Q: Can I change my template if I don’t like it? Or, am I stuck?

A: Yes, you can change your template at any time. HOWEVER, you will lose any content you’ve added to your home page.

Q: A simple website is great, but what if I want something more advanced or with more customization?

A: Our team has been building websites for nearly a decade. If you need a website with more than 3 pages, e-commerce capabilities, or a solution that’s highly customized to you and your business, click here to get more information, and we’d be glad to help.

Q: After the first year of free hosting, then what?

A: When your free year of hosting is over, you’ll be billed $100 each year for as long as you keep the service. That money goes toward paying for hosting fees, helping us keep the lights on, and updating and maintaining our hardware and software. After that, a small amount goes toward licensing fees and other costs we take on to provide this service.
